make peace with food.

are you stuck on a dieting roller coaster?

Picture
As a baby, you cried when you were hungry and stopped when you were full. You were born with the innate ability to regulate your food intake by listening to your hunger and fullness cues. You have always known what food makes you feel great and what tastes best to you. Your body was your guide; it told you what it needed and precisely how much.

Somewhere along the way, things went awry.

Perhaps you decided to go on a diet - or were put on one by well-meaning family members - in high school. Maybe you decided that you no longer liked your physique and needed to change it with severe caloric restriction, punishing overexercise, diet pills, or purging. Or perhaps you have struggled with your weight and self image your whole life and don't even remember a time when you listened to your internal cues instead of external "dieting rules."

We can help. Using the framework of Intuitive Eating as authored by famed dietitians Evelyn Tribole MS, RD and Elyse Resch MS, RDN, CEDRD, FIAEDP, FADA, Megan can help you transform your relationship with food to free you from diets and help you live with joy and fearlessness. Whether you are a chronic dieter or have been healing from a diagnosed eating disorder, Megan understands what it's like to be literally consumed by food and is passionate about uncovering your true self - someone who loves their life and loves the food they eat.

Megan learned about Intuitive Eating from co-author Elyse herself and did professional supervision with Elyse during graduate school. If you would like to see if Megan is a good fit for you, please contact us.

Please note: In most cases, Megan requires that clients diagnosed with an eating disorder are also working with a licensed behavioral health specialist trained in eating disorder therapy.
